My first problems with Word perfect

I was a dedicated Word perfect (WP) user years ago. I just tried the new WP download. I opened my cookbook file which has 236 pages of recipes and an index that starts on page 237. When I tried to CTRL click on the index to go there automatically, WP took me to page 1547. There is no page 1547 in my cookbook!. It appears that there are some compatibility issues with WP. Please let me know that you have a fix for this. I want to be able to use WP. However, I need to be able to take the cookbook file to the printer and be sure that the pages and index will print properly. That does not seem to be the case with the newest version of Word Perect!!!!!!
