The Currency or Currency0 format style with the Accounting formats check box enabled allows one to align currency symbols to the left side of the cell. However, to better mimic Excel’s Accounting style:1. represents zero values as dashes 2. In the Currency drop down list where one chooses a country whose currency symbol you want to use, add a None option. When None is selected, the currency symbol will not show but the numbers will maintain accounting alignment. This is particularly important for accounting reports like balance sheets and income statements where traditionally only the first line and the total lines display the currency symbol. Finally, when exporting to Excel, Excel should be able to recognize QP’s accounting format style.
